David Normington 
Owner PADI MSDT Instructor, Speciality Instructor, EFR Instructor
 
David took up diving in 2000 whilst on Honey Moon in Zanzibar.  It soon became his major passion and in 2005 took the bold step to turn his back on a succesful carear in IT and Finance and bought Clubsub (Northants).
 
David believes diving should be both safe and fun.  Through his experience with other Dive centre and instructors he has noticed that some forget the reason people learn o dive and thats the fun as well as the challenge of Diving.
 
He believes the Club enviroment that came from BSAC and SAA combined with the PADi fun ethos is a great combination and has prompted this through out Clubsub, encouraging our divers to feel that the Dive Centre is their centre  and they are always welcome to call in for advice, or just social chit chat.

Steve Prior, is really two people! Steve and Janet Prior combined make up the team that calls itself “Steve Prior”.

Steve is a PADI Platinum Course Director and one of the most active in the world today. His wife is a PADI IDC Staff Instructor. Together, they make a dynamic partnership putting in twice the effort and generating twice the fun

Derek Aughton (Broke Back Mountain:- AKA 10 Bar)

 

  Derek learnt to dive with Deep Blue diving and came to clubsub, looking for a friendly club enviroment.  As a qualified Divemaster he has been a valued asset.  Always helpful and a real character with a wicked sense of humour.  A gentle giant at over 6'5 once met never forgottgen.

 

Derek's nickname of 10 bar comes from his great love of air, no tank is ever enough!

 Terry Foster - Fozzy

 

  Terry Came from Astbury Divers when they closed and has completed his Divemaster course with Clubsub.  You will often see Terry helping out in the Dive Centre and is a valued team member.  As an ex-prison Officer, Terry is calm and relaxed under stress, a great combination for a Divemaster.  always willing to talk to Students and pass on helpful hints ad advice.

Mick Raunds               

 

Mick has come from SAA and if loking to progress to instructor to pass on his enthusiasm for Diving.  An avid underwater Photography, Mick will happily give advice and help on Photography.

 

Claire Baker            

 

Claire completed her open water course in Egypt in October 2008, and joined the club in November 2008, since then she has been an active member, completing several specialities and Rescue course before starting her DM course in June.  Near completion Claire will soon be a qualified DM.

 

Carl Howell               

 

Carl was a "warm water diver" but has now been converted to the pleasures of UK diving and is currently progressing through his DM course.

 

Sean Kelly               

 

Sean has recently joined Clubsub coming from another local Dive School.  He is an active member of the team and will be seen at most pool sessions.

 

 

Peter Normington  

 

Peter can be seen helping in the Dive Centre on occasions.  Peter learnt to Dive when he was 14 and has over the last 4 years progressed to Rescue Diver and is currently training as a Divemaster.

Beckie Fallows           

 

Becky came to us from another local Dive Club.  She has since progressed through the advanced course and is currently looking to complete he Rescue Course.

 

Becky has now completed her training as a teacher, but still does the occasional weekend or summer term in the Dive Centre.

Andrea is my long suffereing wife, the reluctant instructor, persuaded to learnt to dive, Andrea had no ambitions of diving in the UK, let alone instructing.  She is now a very expereienced instructor and enjoys both UK and tropical diving.
 
As a very expereinced Nurse in the Intensive Care and Infection control areas, Andrea is our main EFR & O2 Instructor, bringing with her not only her EFR training but nursing skill to the courses.

Neil Gordon :- (AK Lost) 
 
     Neil is one of Staffordshire much appreciated Firemen, and as such is cool under pressure. 
Neil learnt to dive with Clubsub just over 2 years ago and has progressed through to Divemaster, and we hope will progress to Instructor in the near future.
 
Neil earned his nickname after loosing two high value items whilst on a Dive Trip in the red Sea.

  Keith and his daughter learnt to dive with us just under 2 years ago and his passion has seen him progress from Open Water to Divemaster.
